Mayan Religion

  • Itzamná was the most important god (the creator god, god of health and fire)
  • Kukulcán was another important god (Feathered Serpent) appears on many temples and was adopted by Aztecs and Toltecs
  • Chac was also an important god (rain and lightening) hooked-nose
  • Bolon Tzacab last improtant god who appears quite often in Mayan art and is thought to have came from royal descent
