Requiredd Listening!!!

So i chose Pat Boone's "Tutti Fruitti" and not because i thought it sounded bad or anything but because its simply a cover of Little Richards. I think that if you never heard Little Richard's version this one Boone's would sound great to you. Yes well there isn't as much energy in Pat's version but i think that since most white people weren't exposed to Little Richard yet it sounded good to them. I don't know if their mind changed after they heard Little Richard's version, but i think that for being a cover it is an okay song.

So another song i chose to reflect on was The Rolling Stones, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” I chose this song because i have also heard a cover for this song and it was done by Britney Spears. Yeah i know funny funny and that i have heard it is even worse but i never actually sat down to listen to the original and yes of course the Rolling Stone's version is way better and less pop drained. I just thought it was funny that Britney Spears actually did a cover for the Rolling Stones.

The final song i chose to reflect on was Aretha Franklin's “Respect.” I chose this song because i mean come on who actually has never heard this song. I honestly don't ever think how old songs are or whats the history behind them and now that i actually think about these things it makes songs a little more interesting. Personally i like this song and it's one of those songs that everyone knows the words to, so its fun. I'm sure other people have never really thought much about this song either but it was apart of a big change in music and that is great.
